Description:
This lecture is designed to provide attendees with an update about potentially malignant disorders and malignant lesions affecting the oral cavity. The primary focus will center around leukoplakia and oral squamous cell carcinoma, including a discussion about human papillomavirus. At this end of this course, attendees will be able to identify appropriate treatment plans for patients with these disorders and lesions.

Learning objectives:
Participants will be able to:
- discuss potentially malignant disorders (PMD) that affect the oral cavity.
- identify human papillomavirus-driven oropharyngeal leukoplakia and oral squamous cell carcinoma (SCCa) and HPV-negative SSCa.
- determine appropriate treatment plans for patients with PMDs and/or SCCas.
