Description:
Heart disease, and specifically the inflammation that accompanies heart disease, is the number one killer in the U.S. Attend this course to learn how decreasing the bacterial load in periodontal disease patients, not only stabilizes their periodontal disease, but also their overall health. In addition, Dr. Gribble-Hedlund will review the different types of salivary diagnostic tests available, the purpose of each and how to use them to improve patients’ overall wellness. She also will review specimen collection techniques, which patients to test and when. Attendees will also learn the verbal skills for recommending and explaining these tests to patients.
