Description:
This basic life support course will provide the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. Updated to reflect new science and education in the “2015 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC,” this course will teach basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings, with a focus on high-quality CPR, improvement of chest compression fraction and high-performing team dynamics. Renewals are referred to the two-hour renewal course scheduled for Saturday, July 1 (CP3-4 or CP5-6) from 7:30-9:30 a.m. or 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Upon completion of the course, each participant will receive a digital Health Care Provider CPR/AED card valid for two years. Attendance is limited to 25.

- recognize several life-threatening emergencies.
- provide CPR and use an AED.
- relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
