Description:

Aesthetic dental restorative materials are used every day in dental practices. To help maintain these materials and avoid potentially damaging them, dental hygienists need to understand the materials and how to safely and effectively care for them. This workshop will provide an overview of aesthetic dental materials and strategies for proper maintenance. Topics will include updates on direct and indirect restorative materials, whitening and appropriate compatible preventive materials that can be used in post-treatment care. Post-treatment instructions and patient home care will be discussed so you can help your patients keep their new restorations looking great! Hands-on activities include practice following demonstration about how to properly polish aesthetic dental restorations and avoid damage through material choice. Attendance is limited to 20.
