Learning objectives:
Participants will be able to:
- create a resource sheet that you can take back to your office for immediate use.
- critically think about the clinical side of Common Dental Terminology (CDT) codes
- learn codes for, but not limited to: diagnostics, preventative treatment, restorative procedures, implant placement and oral surgery.
- understand the basics of a PPO and HMO plan (and discuss from your own experiences with dental insurance, too)!
- practice narratives for educating patients about the clinical side of insurance.
- discuss the pain points of insurance basics and what you can do to be your own resources.
- apply learned insurance skills with numerous case studies to interpret.
