Description:
This workshop will provide detailed, yet straightforward instructions for proper flap, bone contouring and suturing methods to accomplish successful functional crown lengthening and, in turn, successful restorations. Learn to be comfortable managing both soft- and hard-tissues to accomplish improved restorative results. Biologic width and ferrule will be emphasized, as well as management of furcations. This will allow attendees to perform some crown lengthening surgery if they choose or make more informed referrals if they prefer. In this workshop, attendees will do flap surgery and suturing on pig jaws and practice the required osseous recontouring on models. Two engaging videos will be shown highlighting the technique of a precise, solid rationale. The lecture, “Crown Lengthening: Can it REALLY Enhance Restorative Results?” (C09), is a prerequisite for this workshop. You must register and pay for both courses for the full experience. Attendance is limited to 25.
