Description:
Hundreds of years ago, Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” Today, researchers say, “unhealthy diets pose a greater risk to health, well-being and risk of death than any other risk factor in the world.” What you eat profoundly impacts your productivity and energy levels, the strength of your immune system, your ability to maintain a healthy body weight, how fast you age, how long you live and even how deeply you sleep at night. Making wise food choices, however, isn’t easy. Lifestyles are busy and ultra-processed foods bombard you at every turn. Ever-changing and contradicting nutrition headlines make it equally challenging to make sense of what you should and shouldn’t eat. Getting to the truth really matters. This engaging, science-based and inspiring lecture will be about choosing nutritious, health-protective, all-star foods and minimizing your intake of foods most harmful to health so that you can live the longest, happiest and healthiest life possible. It’s about “letting food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food.”
