The lecture will discuss topics such as: who are you as a dentist, what has changed in dentistry in the last few years, where dentistry is heading, and how you should prepare. This lecture will look at the demographics of dentistry as a profession. As younger dentists, how does debt affect your financial future? As older dentists, what effect has the market, insurance companies, corporate dentistry or the lack of planning had on your future? How have changes in society affected your dental practice? Attendees will discuss the big questions such as how much you will need to comfortably retire and if you are on track to achieve that goal. Dr. Pitts will also review “The 10 Commandments of Investing for Success” as a dentist and financial planning strategies to quickly propel you towards your financial objectives. A comprehensive review of all available dental office retirement plans will be discussed in-depth. The recent “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” changes and how they may affect your dental practice will be presented. Attendees will discuss how an intelligently designed plan can help dentists with their financial journey. Dr. Pitts will end the course by discussing the seven principles for living that will create financial success.
