Description:
This lecture will discuss the different types of lasers available, the mechanism of action of the lasers and comparison of different lasers' wavelength and modalities of treatment. Special emphasis will be placed on soft-tissue versus hard-tissue lasers in dentistry and the description of mechanism of action with emphasis on periodontal therapy treatment and numerous case studies. This lecture will detail how the laser works using video presentation of procedures, description of peri-implantitis and how specific wavelength will help in treatment and, finally, the maintenance protocol for patients after laser-assisted therapy.
