Description:

This lecture will address the No. 1 challenge in dentistry today — the business side of dentistry. Dentists know how to do the job of providing great dentistry to patients, but they also are tasked with the bonus job of running a business. The problem is that running a $750,000 to $2 million practice the right way is a full-time job on its own. Dentists continue down the path of business ownership the best they know how, but deep down know it is not maximizing profit. The goal is to have consistent practice accounts and lower overhead, but most times, the hard work being put into the business is not reflected in the income. During this course, attendees will learn how to maximize practice profitability and avoid common pitfalls that can suppress cash flow. Dentists cannot forge their way to exceptional profitability if proper systems and processes are not in place. Mr. Heirs will empower dentists to get off the hamster wheel and treat the business side of dentistry with the same expertise as the clinical.

Learning objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • identify cash flow killers that keep dentists from maximizing their practice.

  • understand how mastering the business side of the practice can make a seven- to eight-digit difference.

  • examine case studies quantifying how cash flow killers can make or break the bank.

  • review basic and complex strategies that have taken dental peers to the next level.

  • learn that saving $100k annually for retirement is within reach.

  • be inspired to achieve more and not settle for the hamster wheel of mediocrity.
