Description:

Traditional practice models often rely on volume over value. Often, dental practices feel compelled to accept all forms of insurance to generate income, rather than consider an expanded view of what might be possible if insurance was not the sole consideration for generating revenue and offering broader treatment plan recommendations for the patient. This type of practice may limit revenues, but also impacts treatment acceptance and outcomes, staff retention and doctor-patient relationships. The Comprehensive Dentistry Practice Model offers doctors the solution for these and other issues that may limit practice success, and provides the structure to create thriving practices that offer increased value options for patients, improved treatment outcomes overall, with the added benefit of increased self-confidence and passion for the services they provide. Consider making a paradigm shift in the practice of dentistry that moves away from insurance-driven, drill and fill dentistry to comprehensive patient-centered practice that emphasizes value over volume treatment planning and presentation. This lecture will teach dentists how to work smarter not harder and learn specific solutions for creating opportunities for value-based treatment planning.

Learning objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • understand the Comprehensive Dentistry Practice Model and its impact on potential practice growth through value-based treatment planning, case collection and improved treatment acceptance.
  • gain a deeper appreciation for the dentist's role as physicians of the oral cavity.
  • consider a paradigm shift in the practice of dentistry that emphasizes value over volume treatment planning and presentation.
  • recognize tools and practices for paradigm expansion to directly impact treatment outcomes.
  • create an action plan for implementing and integrating comprehensive model practices to directly impact the practice through value-based treatment planning, case collection and improved treatment acceptance.
