Description:

Owning and managing a dental practice involves more than just good technical skills. You also have to manage people. In addition to their technical skills, they also bring their personalities and expectations to the workplace. Like many professional schools, these skills are not part of the curriculum in dental school. During this lecture, Ms. Minnis will explain why HR handbooks are not just useful but needed in the dental office. Attendees will learn how to appropriately hire, discipline and terminate employees, manage leave and attendance issues, as well as other employment related issues.
