Description:
On a daily basis, clinicians are encountering more and more complex cases that they must diagnose and manage, which requires a more comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach. This course will emphasize the importance of interprofessional collaboration among specialties to improve the patient’s treatment outcomes and how it contributes to the education of dental residents. This interactive course will review cases and discuss treatment options, highlighting the importance of the work provided by a team of specialists, and the outcomes obtained following an interprofessional approach.

Learning objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • determine the skill sets needed to treat patients with a complex treatment plan.
  • understand the importance of interprofessional oral health care delivery.
