Description:
This workshop will concentrate on how to execute endodontic therapy clinically in a predictable and reproducible manner using modern techniques that aim at enhancing the long-term prognosis of the tooth. An overview of access techniques and burs will be provided along with updates on the use of both hand and rotary instrumentation in order to shape canals conservatively and predictably. Various obturation options will be discussed in order to obturate these more minimally invasive canal preparations. Dr. Limosani will demonstrate clinical protocols that marry the traditional objectives of disinfection with a more minimally invasive approach to treatment. Learning goals include teaching participants a modern approach to instrumentation that allows for more tooth structure conservation. The lecture, Strategic Dentin Conservation in Endodontics: Theoretical Concepts and Practical Applications (C02), is a prerequisite for this workshop. You must register and pay for both courses for the full day experience. Attendance is limited to 15.

Equipment Sponsor: SS White Dental

Learning objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • provide insight into the paradigm shift related to strategic dentin preservation.

  • outline the armamentarium required to accomplish procedural goals.

  • demonstrate clinical protocols that marry the traditional objectives of disinfection with a more minimally invasive approach to treatment.
