Description:
As women search for ways to optimize their health, they must sift through an enormous amount of recommendations advertised in both conventional and complementary medicine. In this course, attendees will learn how to find their personal health IQ; ways to reduce their risk of heart disease, breast cancer and osteoporosis; if natural hormones are safe; and, how to get hormone replacement. Join Dr. Low Dog for this highly informative session that explores strategies to optimize health in women across the lifespan.

Learning objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • identify three lifestyle interventions that can reduce the risk of chronic disease.
  • describe the evidence of safety and benefit for three dietary supplements used to reduce the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome and menopause.
  • discuss the evidence for three dietary interventions for weight loss and prevention of heart disease and diabetes.
  • describe the evidence of safety and benefit for hormonal therapies.
